A Christ-centered community providing excellence in education to meet the needs of the whole child.
The arts have always played an important role in Catholic life, helping us experience the divine through music, visual arts, and drama. OLMC helps students to discover their creative abilities and inspires them to see the world and understand our relationship with God in new ways. In addition to classwork, students enjoy a myriad of opportunities to perform live, including choir concerts, drama, musical productions, band, marching band opportunities, visual art displays, and more.
Pueri Cantores Children’s Choir is our parish liturgical children’s choir, open to children in grades 2-8 from any school or home school. We are a chapter of Pueri Cantores, the worldwide organization of Roman Catholic children’s choirs, dedicated to teaching the next generation the great liturgical music heritage of the Catholic Church.
We sing unison and 2-part treble choral music in many styles, and we are dedicated to learning and leading Sacred music in the service of Christ and His liturgy — and we have a great time in the process!
Children learn solid vocal technique, how to sing quality music in parts, and also come to a deeper love of the Mass.
Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 4:15 - 5:15 p.m. during the school year, and we sing at one Saturday evening 5:30 Mass each month and at a Christmas Mass.
